Jesus waited. He went up the mountain and sat down waiting. Those that came were blessed with the words of life, the answer to their hearts desire. All they had to do was seek Him. That’s it! Jesus honored their desire to find truth. They did not have to do anything, prove anything, become anything… All that He required was to seek Him.

Yet simplicity is not ease! Jesus was on the mountain! Seeking Him meant going to Him, up and away from this world with its distractions. They had to go to where Jesus was… A mountain.

Today nothing has changed. We, you and I, have the same opportunity! We can sit at the Master’s feet and absorb the words of truth and life. He is waiting for all who seek him, He waits for you. Leave the distractions of your life, your day, your needs, and climb the mountain where Jesus waits.

Jesus gives freely, to all who seek him, who follow Him to the mountain. The world can offer nothing in comparison! All that is good, all that fills and soothes our heart is on that mountain where Jesus waits.

Go, now, to sit at his feet.
